SFNFCI offered our 1st customized online training for free to help us understand how to deliver an online course and encourage registrants to provide feedback to improve the online experience. Learner materials were mailed out to each registrant prior to the two-day training. The virtual platform utilized to host this online training was Zoom. SFNFCI staff reached out to participants prior to course to walk through a ‘technical test run’ to ensure Zoom use, become familiar with its functionality, and test connections to ensure a successful training experience.
SFNFCI used the original curriculum, updated the activities and exercises, and translated the course to an online platform. Our two in-house facilitators, Laura Hicks and Rachel Andal delivered the course. The course provided tools on managing multiple priorities. These included managing conflicting priorities and dealing with instant challenges that happen in the workplace every day. Suggestions were provided for setting priorities, getting organized, managing your time, and achieving your position and organizations’ goals.
Congratulations to the Twenty-eight (28) attendees that completed the 6-hour online course and received a certificate!
All those that completed SFNFCI MMP feedback form post training stated that they would recommend this course to others. When asked who should take the course, an outstanding majority of responses stated: Co-workers!
Some comments from participants:
“The content on zoom was well delivered.”
“I enjoyed the breakout rooms and talking with others on time management.”
“It was great for first time online.”
SFNFCI invited all participants to a post online focus group, Mon. Dec. 7, to discuss what went well and areas of improvement. SFNFCI had 10 focus group attendees. The group had comments on the positive experience and shared ways to improve break out sessions and internet connection. One participant indicated that ‘she felt connected’ during the training. We are very thankful to have more input and suggestions on improving our online training.

Zoom Presentation view, Day two of Managing Multiple Priorities
Here are some comments from participants when asked how they plan to use and/or share the content learned:
“Knowing I can properly manage multiple priorities in a productive manner. Recognizing that I bounce around to all my tasks and not stick to one task. That I need to slow down and focus on one thing at a time.”
“Make to do list. Time management, prioritize, ask for help, makes lists, ask people to help.”
“I really find that the seconds in the day activity was fundamental for me when recognizing where I need/can make changes. If I can make time for Facebook, I can make times to walk on the treadmill.”
