Lots of support for the Transitioning Mobile App

The SFNFCI has been on the road to Prince Albert and North Battleford to talk with youth and those working with youth about the details of developing an app for youth transitioning out of care.

The SFNFCI staff, Shelley Thomas Prokop and Merilee Morales, along with Push Interactive Consultant Andre Doucette have hosted seven focus groups, asking participants about their ideas on what works and doesn’t work when using an app.

There is lots of support for the idea and lots of enthusiasm to use the app.  We are in the process of formulating ideas and we are looking to  demo the app in January 2017.

Thanks to all those who came out and shared their ideas, building the app with the users is the best way to build!

One of the participants was enthusiastic to hear about the app and noted,         “Every single thing you do is towards independence”
