Interested in Hosting Community Based Training?
SFNFCI staff are available to travel to your community (urban, rural, reserve and remote communities) to lead training. Hosting training in your community is an affordable way to provide training for workers.
SFNFCI will create a training program customized to the unique needs of your organization and its training needs.
More information regarding how SFNFCI will work with you to deliver training in your community is provided below:
Host Responsibilities
- Minimum of 15 learners; learners may be members of more than one organization or community.
- Sign an agreement for the training; an invoice for the confirmed number of participants will be sent prior to the training start date. Should additional participants join the training, an invoice will be submitted after the training has taken place.
- Provide the venue or classroom for the training.
- Provide Elder support services.
- Provide participant names and completed registration forms prior to the training.
- Training registration fees will be determined by the type of training being provided, the number of people attending the training, plus the cost of travel and accommodations.
SFNFCI Services
- Facilitator fees and travel
- All pre-training duties including pre-training forms if required.
- Plan a develop a training plan, budget, course manuals and materials, and agreement with host representative
- Provide supplies, door prizes
- Organize catered snacks, beverages, and lunches each day of training in consultation with host representative
- Provide Learner records and certificates
- Confirm the venue and Elder support services
- Contract the training facilitator and complete pre-post training delivery requirements including invoicing, reporting, etc.
- Complete the post-training learner data entry for learner records and certificates

- Cost: $250 per day
