Understanding Grief & Loss Training (GH) *Postponed*
Location: SFNFCI Tech Classroom – Saskatoon, SK
Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Cost: $700/person
This two-day course is designed to introduce participants to the role of the group home worker in providing grief and loss support to children and youth. Participants will demonstrate knowledge and skills to support group home residents who may be experiencing grief and loss. Participants will also examine their own grieving process and the importance of modeling positive, healthy grief and loss recovery for others.

Key competencies are defined as the knowledge, skills and abilities that are needed to work effectively in your job. This module is designed to equip you with the ability to:
- To understand the role of the group home worker in providing grief support.
- To understand, demonstrate and apply skills, techniques and best practices of understanding and supporting the grieving child needs when recovering and completing relationships associated with the loss.
