Date: January 13-16,2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. each day to allow time to get settled as we will start promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Location: SFNFCI Tech Room
Materials: Elder services, workbook, additional training aids, lunch, and snacks
Cost: Free
This training is intended for supervisors utilizing and supervising SDM assessments in their current roles.
During this training all six SDM assessments (Intake, Safety, Risk, Family Strength and Needs, Reunification, Risk Re) will be reviewed from a supervisor’s role. We will be discussing ways to review completed assessments, provide feedback, and explore when written approval and verbal approval is acceptable. Additionally, we will explore the importance of written narratives and ways to mentor staff in strengthening documentation.
NOTE: 100% attendance is required to receive course email of completion.
Learner Expectations:
- Be aware that the training is for 4 days, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Turning off your phones or putting them on silent throughout the training is expected
- Be ‘present’ and minimize distractions around you, you must participate in 100% of the course to receive your email of completion
- Demonstrate respectful behavior, remember all discussions are confidential
- Be prepared to listen and ask questions
- Bring paper and pen
