Tansi! My name is Roslyn Favel. I am a Cree woman from Sweetgrass First Nation. I come from a family of seven. I am the third oldest. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I have 5 children, 4 girls and one boy. I also am a grandmother of 5 grandchildren, and I have had the pleasure of raising one of my oldest grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my children taking long road trips, and chilling with my mother. My favorite things to do in the summer are playing stick games, traveling, and meeting new people. I attended First Nations University on the Saskatoon Campus where I convocated with a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, October 2022. While attending post-secondary school I had the privilege to work as a family service worker. I am excited to be in my new position with SFNFCI as an SDM Training Coordinator. I look forward to continuing to develop my professional knowledge in child protection and contribute to SFNFCI’s team.
